The west coast state of Gujarat is not one of
Indias busiest tourist destinations although it is quite easy to slot
Gujarat in
between a visit to Mumbai and Rajasthan.
Geographically, Gujarat can be divided into three areas. The eastern (main land) region
includes the major cities of Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara. The Gulf of
Cauvery divides at the mainland strip from the flat, often barren, plain of Kathiawar Peninsula, also known
as Saurashtra.
